Whitegoods Shredder for removing hazardous metals in Electronic Goods

Pollution in the environment is the utmost problem that garbs the attention of every individual. It demands strong powerful action that must be administered immediately and constantly. This is a global problem, one that all countries are working together to curb the effect from their end. Waste management, from the doorsteps of the houses to the Parliament, is taken care of vigorously; Governments allot money in billions to control this and to safeguard the earth from further damage.

Recycling is one of the best solutions for the problem of managing and disposing waste. Each and every individual is getting the awareness on the usage of things. They are being educated about how to throw away their waste. They are advised to collect their waste in separate bins for each category such as degradable and non-degradable. In addition, people are advised to handover the collected waste materials properly to the landfills or to the concerned recycling plants.

Segregation of waste starts from each individual. When he or she purchases a product, knowledge of disposing it in proper manner must be known.  This is because lots of hazardous materials are being used in households and in commercial places. White goods are such hazardous things that people use in every household. They contain CFC in them. For recycling these materials they have to be handled through whitegoods shredder.

Some products handled by whitegoods shredder:
•    Air conditioners
•    Refrigerators
•    Dishwashers
•    Dryers
•    Dehumidifiers
•    Freezers
•    Washing machines and more
In the process of disposing them, people face two types of problems.

•    One is the removal of CFC, Freon and HCFC present in them.
•    The other problem is their size. The products that contain white goods are large in size. They cannot be taken as such to the landfills. Their sizes have to be reduced. The only they can take less space in landfills.

Whitegoods Shredder solves this problem by removing the hazardous metals in these electronic products and by reducing their size into compact one. They operate in low speed with high torque condition to separate the metals and make them ready for recycling.

The other important equipment in waste management and recycling industries is the waste crusher. They also are employed in reducing the sizes of the waste materials. They are used most commonly in all types of industries and manufacturing units. Crushers are similar to balers. They crush large size products put into them into smaller size products.

Some waste crusher types are:
•    Drum Crusher
•    Glass Crusher
Drums can be crushed into small plate size products when they are put inside these crushers. People handling the machine need to open the door, place the drum inside it, close the door securely and push the button. After some time, it can be removed and another drum can be crushed. Four to five feet drums come out in four to five inch plate like products.

Another waste crusher is for the glass. Separate models for reducing the number of bin collections, for reducing bottles ready for recycling or reuse,  glass pulverising systems for high level applications  and windshield stripper that can separate the laminations and the glass.

Importance of Plastic waste shredder and its general characteristics

Shredders are most necessary equipment for waste management and recycling industries. Moreover, manufacturing units and disposal units depend very much on shredders for their working process. Many organizations save money and time by using the most suitable shredder for their requirement.

Mega shredders are used by very large industries. For shredding various materials like wood and plastic, separate shredders are used. Hence, plastic waste shredder is specially designed to deal with plastic materials. They cater to all requirements with specification ranging from low to very high speed shredders. They come with various blade sizes. Generally, they have very high torque.

Plastic waste shredder comes in various models. They vary with the number of shafts. They are available from a single shaft shredder to four shaft shredder. It is always better to discuss with the professionals and find out the suitable machines before purchasing a Plastic waste shredder. It all depends on the requirements of the organization. In case no particular shredder is suitable, customized shredders can be designed and produced to cater to the organization.

Characteristics of Plastic waste shredder:
•     Plastic waste shredder comes with one or two or four shafts.
•    Their capacity varies from 50HP to 1,250HP

•    In addition, further attachments such as discharge conveyors and separation equipments are used.
Waste shredders for plastic are the most important equipment for recycling units because people use them in large quantity.

Features of Plastic Shredder Models and their importance in Recycling

Shredders are very much necessary for the recycling and waste management industries. In addition, they play an important role in most of the industries that deal with manufacturing and disposals. Using suitable shredder is cost effective to that organization.

Large industries use mega shredders. Separate shredders are used to reduce various materials like wood, asphalt and rubber. Plastic shredder is meant for shredding wide range of plastic materials. They vary from low speed to mid-range speed including high torque and with varying blade sizes and specifications.

Plastic Shredders are available in varying models from single shaft to four shaft machines including granulators and grinders. Before purchasing the right model for shredding plastic materials especially for the industrial organization, it must be thoroughly checked whether the particular machine can fulfil the requirements.  Sometimes, ready-made plastic shredder will not be suitable for the requirement and hence many leading companies are ready to produce plastic shredder with custom made specification.
Features of Industrial plastic shredder types:

•    Plastic shredder must have either single, double or four shaft model
•    It can drive from 50HP to 1,250HP

Entire process of recycling mostly depends on these plastic shredders. Some common types of plastic materials that are recycled are PVC, fibreglass, PET, ABS, LDPE, HDPE, Epoxy and PP.

Different types of Rubbish Compactor Parts and its working process

Waste management industry is one of the important industries that fulfil the need of the hour. It functions in full swing due to the increased population on earth and their modern life style. Among the many equipments and tools used in waste management, Rubbish Compactor smashes and compresses rubbish and makes it a manageable bundle, which is neat and compact to handle.  This equipment is an automated device.
Key parts of Rubbish Compactor:

•    The frame
•    Sound insulation
•    Electric wire
Superficial parts of a Rubbish Compactor:
•    Very large screw or bolt: This is the most important component of a trash Compactor, which is the primary operator.
•    Switch panels: Another important part is switch panels along with micro-switches.
•    Motor:
•    Ram Screw:
•    Chain and sprockets:
Other parts of a Rubbish Compactor:

Basic working Process of a rubbish compactor:

After the rubbish is filled into the compactor, the micro switch is activated and when the door gets closed it signals the motor to start. The motor, which is attached with the ram screw with the help of chain and sprockets, turns the ram bolt and it passes through the ram, driving it down. This presses the rubbish and makes the bulk to go down by compressing it effectively. The motor is again reversed when the ram senses certain pressure which is pre-determined. The indicator will flash when the compactor is full.

Compact Vertical Bailer - Ideal for small establishments

Disposal of waste material has become the foremost subject of modern world. Lots of research work and studies are going on in this field. Not only large industries, even small organizations have started to deal with their waste through their waste management departments. New technologies and new equipments are being introduced in this industry to make the work more efficient than before.

Most of the equipments target the bulk volume of waste and convert them into neat packages. This is the very first step in waste management so that further handling will be easier.   Among many such equipments waste bailer is the most commonly used machineries in waste management industry. This waste bailer is an asset from the small industries to large enterprises for reducing the daily accumulations of their waste into compact sizes so that they can dispose them easily.   Some common materials that a waste bailer handles in routine are cardboard packaging, plastic packaging, paper, ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
When a waste bailer works in the vertical fashion from top to bottom, it is known as vertical bailer.
Common types of Vertical Bailer:

•    Cardboard bailer: Many small companies own cardboard bailers so that they can shrink their cardboard accumulation along with other plastic waste. This vertical bailer, which is small and low in height, is ideal for retail stores, offices, small organizations and business establishments. Small bailers come with 1.694m height, 0.718m width and 0.630m depth are capable of 2.0 tonne pressing force. It must have motor capacity of 1.5kw 13 amp. As an optional facility, bale lifting trays can be attached.

•    Plastic bailer: For this type of baling machines, the designs are innovatively created so that it facilitates non-removal of caps from the bottle while they are getting processed in the vertical bailer.  Usually they have very high compact ratio. In order to provide easy movement, top loading bailers attached with roller guided head are available.  Since the height of the machine is very low, they are very much suitable for small, space restricted places. Apart from the extra trolley for bale lifting, a retention tank with the capacity of 30 litres is attached to collect the liquids that are left in the bottles. With the tap connection in the tank, the liquid can be collected. Moreover, while the machine is working, it can be loaded further to save time.

•    Multi-purpose bailer:  This vertical bailer that is designed to handle all sorts of material has the capacity to deal with 75 kg material which is ideal for small to medium size establishments such as retail stores, grocery stores and fast food outlets. The resulting package out of this bailer, especially when it compresses cardboards, will be a real surprise. Such is the appearance of tiny and neat outputs. As additional options, can crusher and bale lifting trolley can be attached.

Other bailer machines used are multi chamber bailer, wide loading aperture bailer, Bailers for Heavy Duty Applications and bailers with wash down areas.

Apart from bailers, waste management sections can utilize shredders, compactors and grinders that are used widely in practice.

Categories of Plastic baler and Specialty Plastic balers

Industries and large institutions need to handle bulk quantity of materials for processing. It will be easy to handle materials when they are compressed and made into small size. This compression is very convenient for handling and for transportation. Machines doing such job are known as balers and contractors. Balers compress materials and bind them into a convenient shape and size so that it will be easy to handle. These balers work in two methodologies; one is vertical and the other is horizontal.

Among many types of balers, plastic balers are specially designed and produced for dealing various plastic materials.

Some categories of plastic balers are:

•    High Density Polyethylene [HDPE]: These plastic balers are meant for compressing and shaping food containers, milk jugs, food containers for sour cream, margarine, toys, oil bottles and outdoor containers.
•    Polyethylene Terephthalate [PET]: This is for soda bottles, cosmetic containers, medicine containers and water bottles.
•    Low Density Polyethylene [LDPE]: These are for plastic wrap, shrink wrap and garment bags.
•    Polypropylene [PP]: bottle tops, refrigerator containers and carpets.
•    Polystyrene [PS]: meat packing material, throw away utensils and protective packaging.

Usually, plastic balers used for one type is meant for compressing that type of plastic only. This is because they provide certain features like pressure so that memory factors overcome the features that help to produce denser bales holding tighter. Moreover, these balers follow some techniques to remove the memory in the plastic.

Some specialty plastic baler:
•    Shrink Wrap Baler
•    Plastic Jug baler
•    Bottle Can baler
•    Plastic wrap mini-baler

Benefits of Shredding Metal

It is a big problem for the large industries to decide on the waste accumulation and on the methods to dispose them wisely. Most of them recycle or make their waste ready for further handling within their organization itself. To manage this ‘waste on site’ they have a separate waste management department.  They segregate their waste; reduce them into compact sizes and shapes for easy handling and send them to the recycle plants at the earliest. They have all sorts of waste management equipments for accomplishing their job and for Shredding Metal.

Benefits of Shredding Metal:

•    For reducing the volume of scrap metal, for satisfying the purpose of recycling and for recovering precious material Shredding metal is very much necessary.
•    Only when the metal is shredded and the volume gets reduced, it will be easy for handling. Otherwise it will occupy large amount of space and need more number of manpower to manage.
•    Transportation problem will be made easier and due to their small size the cost of transportation also will become less.
•    The metals thus shredded are used to improve furnace feeding so that the efficiency of re-melting can be increased.
•    The most important benefit of Shredding Metal is to eliminate contamination in the metal. Thus this process increases the value of the metal and its quality.
•    Most electronic machines and their various components contain precious metals like silver, gold and platinum. Shredding Metal with low speed shredders can separate these metals and recover them during the pre process stage of shredding.
