Plastic and Paper Waste Influence in Our Day To Day Life

Plastic and paper wastes are present in large amount in the dumping zone of any area. Almost 15% of municipal solid wastes are consisted of plastic material which is very harmful to our health and thus it need to be recycled and reused so that production of it cannot be increased. Papers are made up of trees therefore creates the problem of deforestation and so we need to reduce the use of paper and find out different ways of recycling the paper waste.

The Reasons behind increased demand of plastic and paper waste are:
•    It is more durable
•    It is light weighted
•    It is low in cost
How plastic and paper waste does pose a problem to the environment?

After its primary use when plastics are thrown away in the dumping zone or landfill, it cannot be broken down by the microbes. Plastics are non biodegradable and most of them never disappear full after landfill. When it is broken down, they release toxins contaminating soil and water and thereby entering the food chain. And in this way all living beings get affected by the use of plastics.

Paper material after its primary use, is thrown to the dustbin. Papers are made up of trees therefore creates the problem of deforestation and so we need to reduce the use of paper and find out different ways of recycling the paper waste so that it can be used again and again.

Both plastic and paper wastes are harmful for the environment but in different way. One creates problem after its decomposition while the other one starts getting disadvantageous before its disposal.
