Paper wastes make one third part of solid waste which is being generated all over the world. Earlier, paper waste material was disposed in the bins or landfills, which took much amount of space. However, after incineration of the wastes, few chemicals and gases were released such as carbon dioxide, which disturbed the natural balance of the environment. Such paper wastage proved harmful and hence there was the introduction of Paper Waste Shredding machines which helped to minimize the risks of paper disposals.
Recycling of paper is a new green solution to manage the wastes generated from paper. The process of recycling will convert the waste into paper which can be reused, or into other useful material. The recycling procedure consists of few stages, such as:
- Collecting: The waste paper including newspapers, cardboards, print papers and boxes are collected by the recycling bins. This collection is then transferred to private companies or municipal organizations which take the responsibility of waste paper management.
- Sorting: The paper waste collected is sorted into categories based on kind of paper and quality of paper. It is later compressed into bales in order to recycle the paper.
- Shredding: The waste paper is here to cut down into small pieces, which care then broken down into fibers.
- Re-pulping: Fibers formed are put into water to create pulp, which may comprise of unwanted elements such as ink, dirt or weak fibers etc.
- De-inking: Pulp formed is washed and then segregated, later rotated. All the unwanted elements are separated and discarded. Then the remaining pulp is used to create a recycled paper, along with products like fruit trays, cardboards, egg crates, and material for false ceilings too.
